Purchase and Installation Guide for a Four-Actuator Lift System

Purchase Guide

To install a four-actuator lift system using WindyNation actuators, the following components are required:

1. Quantity One (1) of “Speed Matched” Linear Actuator pairs with Mounting Brackets, Remote Switch, Dual Cable and Pig Tails

2. Quantity One (1) of “Speed Matched” Linear Actuator pairs with Mounting Brackets

3. Quantity Two (2) of Double Cables

4. Quantity One (1) of Extension Cable

5. 12 Volt Power Source capable of supplying 10 Amps of current

    • WindyNation does NOT offer a 10 Amp power supply

Installation Guide

Notes:

  • To minimize the risk of actuators moving at slightly different speeds, install the speed match paired actuators diagonally from each other
  • In wet environments mount actuators with the motor on top
  1. Mount the Actuators
    • Install Actuators diagonally, across the application as shown below for better synchronization.

    • Fasten the mounting brackets securely so the moveable load is centered on the actuator extension arm
  1. Interconnect the Actuators
    • Use the Double Cable to connect two actuators per cable
    • Use the extension cable if additional length is required to reach the power/control unit.
  2. Connect Power and Control
    • Connect the actuators to a 12 VDC Power Supply.
    • Install the Wireless Remote Control DPDT Switch between the power supply and actuators.
  3. Testing and Fine Tuning
    • Operate the system to ensure all actuators move smoothly.
    • If speed discrepancies occur, adjust the cable length longer to slightly reduce the speed and shorter to slightly increase the speed.
    • Stroke length can be adjusted by approximately ½” by turning the threaded extension rod clockwise or counter clockwise

Note: Installation of a 12-amp fuse is highly recommended between the power supply and switch
